Smealls Do Maui 2015 - Day 8 - Happy 8th Anniversary!

So crazy, but we just made that connection that our 8th day here was our 8th anniversary. What a cool coincidence!!!

We started our day with our usual walk to the park and to get coffee. It was once again a beautiful day! There were lots a people out walking and Natalie was everyone's entertainment with her singing and "hellos." I really do love how much of a people person she is. Such a social little one!

When we were at the park I got this awesome panoramic pic! I figured I've talked about the park a million times and it would be cool to be able to show a picture of how neat it is!!

 It's huge
And right on the beach

I tried to get her excited "park face" on camera - this doesn't really do it justice...

And me! HAH!

After the park we walked back home. There are always roosters out on our walk also and Natalie loves them! She is getting really good at saying cockadoodledoo! You'll have to ask her sometime!

We got ready for the beach and drove down to Makena to fine a new beach. We've heard the beaches in Makena are really beautiful. We ended up driving around a little longer than we anticipated, but we did find a really pretty place to stop. There was a house that came out on a point at this beach that looked amazing! I have a picture below. The sand at the beach is a darker color and super soft. After the beach we headed back to the condo for lunch and nap.

When Natalie got up from her nap we headed up to Kaanapali to Whalers Village. The last two times we have been to Hawaii we have stayed in Kaanapali or very near. We've always loved the area so it was fun to go back up there and check things out. We had fun wandering around Whalers Village and then had a fun anniversary dinner at the Hula Grill. The Hula Grill is where we ate on the first night in Hawaii for our honeymoon. We also visited there in 2010 with our friends. It's definitely a must! We sat in the barfoot beach seating area and got to enjoy live music and a gorgeous sunset. Mom and dad had given us money for an anniversary calamari and it was SO good. The calamari was huge! Just before we were getting ready to leave, a Hula Dancer came on stage so we watched a bit of her. Natalie loved it!

After dinner we shopped around a bit more and then headed back to the condo for the night.

Here's a few more pics...Enjoy!
