Like Mother, Like Daughter

What can I say?!? Our cat has a shoe fetish just like me! We always knew we had a one of a kind cat, but she never ceases to amaze us with all the strange things she does. Her newest liking is shoes. We are not really sure why, but several times we have found her curled up with our shoes. She doesn't just sit next to them, but she makes sure she is touching them...cracks us up! I couldn't help but take some pics...Enjoy!

Four Years...Wow...Time Flies!

On Wednesday March 16th, 2011 Joe and I celebrated our four year anniversary. WOW...it is crazy how time flies! We were just commenting on how clearly we remember our wedding day and it feels like it was just yesterday...I know, I know, that is such a cliche saying, but really, it seems like we were just saying "I Do." I figure it's a good thing we feel that way and we're not feeling like "time is just dragging by." HA...that probably wouldn't be good! To celebrate our anniversary, we spent last weekend in Portland. We made a deal that we would try to spend our anniversary doing something different every year. Our first year was spent in Cannon Beach, our second in Leavenworth and Spokane, our third in Friday Harbor (and we also got to Hawaii that year!) and now our fourth in Portland. We also realized that part of wherever we go for our anniversary we will always have March Madness mixed right in...good thing we both like basketball and the tournament!! (Joe even a little more than me...not surprising...). We had a great time in Portland, the highlight being STOMP! Holy Moly that show is amazing...and exhilarating! We spent our time shopping, went to a movie, lounged around, etc. It was a very enjoyable weekend and we also got to see our cousins, Jay and Linda Benson for lunch before heading home. It was so nice to spend the weekend together...as these days our time together is limited! Below are a few pics from the trip...

It's March...and it's Madness...and my bracket is winning!! (For now)

Tonight we are in good company with Nick and Nicole Langlow (and brewing baby) watching our Dawgs win!! It's always an exciting time with these folks...we indulged in some BBQ pork sandwhiches and salad. YUM! I must say BBQ pork sandwiches are one of my favs. In order to capture the fun...we took a few photos...

As you'll see, we all are sporting our UW gear...sweet Nicole was willing to put on one of Joe's t-shirts to match the trend (Nick really needs to get her a UW shirt)!! As of now, the bracket standings are: Me (in first) and Nick, Nicole and Joe are tied. The problem with March Madness is that it can change really quick...so we shall see! For now - GO HUSKIES!

A Blog? Yes, a Blog!

For quite a while, I've wanted to start a blog. Why, you may ask...good question! I've asked myself the same thing!! Why? I think what it boils down to is that I've always enjoyed writing and the thought of having a blog as a space to "just write" sounds exciting and fun to me. Due to my current grueling schedule, I probably won't blog every, single day - but two to three times a week is my goal. I'm suspecting the blogs will be random...maybe thoughts on therapy, what we're up to, family, or really whatever spikes my interest at that time. So...
